Renowned singer R. Neet of the Punjabi music industry has found himself embroiled in controversy over his new song, “Reel”. The Hindu organisation “Shiv Sena Punjab” has strongly objected to the song in Ludhiana.
The organisation says that the singer R. Neet has depicted Hindu “sadhus” and “Sanatan Dharma”, the sacred symbols of Hindus, in a highly offensive manner, which has hurt the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus.
In this matter, the Shiv Sena has filed a written complaint against the singer at the Ludhiana Police Station, Division No. 3, and has demanded strict legal action against him. The police have confirmed receipt of the complaint and have begun investigating the video.
The artist is seen in the song wearing and displaying sacred Hindu religious symbols and attire associated with Hindu saints and devotees, including a rudraksha mala, damaru, a peacock feather and a saffron-coloured robe. These symbols hold profound religious significance for millions of Hindus and are closely associated with Lord Shiva and Hindu spiritual traditions.”
