Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh wrapped up his ‘Aura World Tour’ in San Francisco last weekend. Now reports have revealed that the 15-date tour has become the highest-grossing tour by a Punjabi artist in North America.
The North American tour, which took place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, sold out in a short time. The tour attracted over 225,000 fans and grossed $32 million.
These figures mean that this tour has surpassed the record previously set by Dosanjh’s 2024 ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’, which grossed $27 million and was previously hailed as the highest-grossing tour by a Punjabi artist in North America.
The singer-actor performed 15 sold-out shows in the United States and Canada, including concerts in major cities such as Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, New York and San Francisco. The tour concluded with two consecutive performances at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Last week, the Los Angeles City Council declared January 6, 2027, as ‘Diljit Dosanjh Day.’ In a social media post, Dosanjh said: “We did it, friends – thank you so much. We performed in stadiums and iconic locations, the city of Los Angeles has declared ‘Diljit Dosanjh Day.'”
Diljit Dosanjh is also set for a sold-out concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 12, having already become the biggest-selling South Asian artist at the city’s O2 Arena in 2024.
